3.1 Adjusting and disassembling the
Torso Bar
Upon delivery, the torso bars are assembled
straight. A hip flexion up to 10° can be set. To do
so, loosen the 4 mm Allen head screws.
We recommend using this adjustment only duri-
ng trial fitting.
The torso bar can be removed from the upper
joint section to make adjusting easier. Remove the
4 mm Allen head screws (Fig. 18) remove the bolt
from the inner side of the joint using a pin wrench.
The 711S5=7x9 bending irons are recommended
for bending the thigh bars.
NOTICE
Damage while working the surface of the light-
weight alloy: No heat treatment for forming. Do not
bend the lightweight alloy bars using sharp-edged
bending irons. Avoid a bending radius smaller than
10 mm. Remove surface damage such as scoring
or burrs which result from forming through grinding,
brushing, or polishing (e.g. 749Z12=160x16 san-
ding brush), otherwise a fracture risk develops at
this location through stress concentration.
