Danger!
A
Use only saw blades conform-
ing to the applicable standards, suita-
ble for the max. speed (see "Techni-
cal Specifications") – with unsuitable
or damaged saw blades parts can be
hurled away explosive-like by the
centrifugal force.
Do not use:
− saw blades made of high speed
steel (HSS);
− saw blades with visible damage;
− cut-off wheel blades.
A
Danger!
− Mount saw blade only using
genuine parts.
− Do not use loose-fitting reducing
rings; the saw blade could work
loose.
− Saw blades have to be mounted
in such way that they do not
wobble or run out of balance, and
can not work loose during opera-
tion.
Put on the outer blade flange (41) –
7.
The two flats must fit onto the flats of
the saw spindle!
Turn in the arbor bolt (40) (left-hand
8.
thread!) and tighten fingertight with
open end spanner SW 13.
To lock the saw blade use the reten-
tion pin (39).
A
Danger!
− Do not extend arbor bolt tighte-
ning wrench.
− Do not tighten the arbor bolt by
hitting on the wrench.
− After tightening the arbor bolt,
remove the retention pin so that
the blade can turn freely.
9.
Check functioning. To do so, lower
the sawhead:
− The retractable blade guard must
clear the saw blade when the
sawhead
is lowered, without
touching other parts.
− When lifting the sawhead up to its
rest position and releasing the
blade guard lever, the retractable
blade guard must automatically
close.

Kerf plate replacement

Danger!
A
With damaged or worn kerf
plates there is a potential danger of
small parts getting caught between
kerf plate and saw blade, blocking the
blade. Replace a worn kerf plate at
once!
1.
Remove the fence.
Lift the kerf plate (44) up with a
2.
screwdriver.
44
3.
Fit new kerf plate.
4.
Reinstall fence. Set fence exactly
square with the saw blade before
tightening.
9.3

Mitre scale adjustment

For the mitre scale to indicate the correct
mitre angle it must be properly adjusted.
To readjust:
1.
Loosen all mitre scale fixing screws
(45).
2.
Lock rotating table in the 0° position.
3.
Adjust scale position, until the 0°
mark is exactly below the left edge
of the rotating table's flange.
45
4.
Tighten all mitre scale fixing screws.
9.4

Sawhead tilt stop setting

In order to position the sawhead exactly
vertically and at 45° for bevel cuts, the
sawhead tilt stops need to be set:
1.
Place a try square on the table and
against the saw blade.
Adjust 0° stop screw (46) until the
2.
saw blade is in an exact vertical
position.
47
46
3.
In this position, the pointer must
point exactly to the 0° mark:
If necessary, loosen the fixing
screws of the angle scale or pointer
respectively, adjust the position of
either angle scale or pointer as
required and tighten fixing screws
again.
Adjust the 45° stop screw (47) like-
4.
wise, using a 45° mitre square.
9.5

Saw cleaning

Remove chips and saw dust with brush
or vacuum cleaner from:
− setting devices;
− operating elements;
− motor vent openings;
− space below the kerf plates.
9.6

Saw storage

Danger!
A
Store saw so that
− it can not be started by unauthori-
zed persons and
− nobody can get hurt.
A
Caution!
Do not store saw unprotected
outdoors or in damp environment.
9.7

Maintenance

Before switching on
Visual check of power cable and power
cable plug for damage; if necessary
have damaged parts replaced by a qual-
ified electrician.
Functional test of safety devices (retract-
able blade guard, sawhead lock).
Visual check to see that dust spout is
free from saw dust and chips (when
working without dust collection).
Monthly (if used daily)
Clean guide elements for saw adjust-
ments with vacuum or brush and apply a
light coat of oil.
