Cleaning of nozzles inside the suction inlet
On both sides of the suction inlet (1, Fig. W), remove the screws (2) together with the nozzles (3) by pulling out on fitting.

Remove the nozzles (3, Fig. W) from the screws (2).
12.
Clean the nozzles (3, Fig. W) with compressed air. Remove calcium deposits.
13.
Install the nozzles and screws in the reverse order of removal.

MAIN WATER FILTER CLEANING

WARNING!
Protect body parts (eyes, hair, hands, etc.) properly, when performing cleaning procedures using compressed
air or water gun.
NOTE
When the filter is removed, the water inside the tanks comes out up to the filter level.
Turn off the engine, by turning the ignition key (17, Fig. D) counterclockwise, to the end of stroke, then remove it.

In the area over the rear axle (20, Fig. G), remove the water filter cover (1, Fig. M) together with the filter (2).

Separate the filter (2, Fig. M) from the cover, then wash and clean it. If necessary, replace the filter.

Install the cover (1, Fig. M) and the filter (2).

HYDRAULIC SYSTEM OIL LEVEL AND DRAIN FILTER EFFICIENCY CHECK

CAUTION!
This procedure must be performed with the hopper (12, Fig. G) completely lowered.
Engage the parking brake (7, Fig. E).

Start the diesel engine as shown in the relevant paragraph and run it at 1,500 rpm.
Open the right panel door (16, Fig. G) by releasing the fasteners (17) with the supplied key.

Check that the needle of the efficiency indicator (1, Fig. X) of the hydraulic system drain filter (2) is in the green area (3),

otherwise the filter (2) must be replaced (see the procedure in the Service Manual).
Check that there are no oil leaks in the upper area (4, Fig. X) of the hydraulic system oil tank.

Turn off the engine, by turning the ignition key (17, Fig. D) counterclockwise, to the end of stroke, then remove it.
6.
Using the indicator (6, Fig. X), check that the oil level in the tank is between the MIN and MAX marks.

If necessary, remove the plug (5, Fig. X) and top up and reinstall plug. For the types of oil to be used, see Technical Data
chapter.
NOTE
Top up by using the same type of oil that is in the tank.
Close the right panel door (16, Fig. G) by engaging the fasteners (17) with the supplied key.
