ENGINE OIL FILTER REPLACEMENT

NOTE
This procedure must be performed when the engine oil has been drained.
1. Empty the hopper (12, Fig. G); if it contains a small quantity of waste, it is not necessary to dump it.
Drive the machine on a solid and level ground, then engage the parking brake (7, Fig. E).

3. Lift the hopper (12, Fig. G), according to the procedure shown in the relevant paragraph.
Turn off the engine, by turning the ignition key (17, Fig. D) counterclockwise, to the end of stroke, then remove it.

Open the left and right panel door (4 and 16, Fig. G) by releasing the fasteners (5 and 17) with the supplied key.
5.
Remove the lifted hopper locking pins (9, Fig. F) from the housings (10), and place them into the holes (11).
6.
Empty the dust control system water tanks (17 and 21, Fig. F) according to the instructions shown in the relevant paragraph.
7.
Remove the screw (19, Fig. F) and open the right tank (17) outwards.

WARNING!
Open the tanks (17 and 21, Fig. F) outwards, only if they are empty: each tank can contain approximately 265 lb
(120 kg) of water.
Replace the oil filter as shown in the Diesel Engine Manual.

10. Perform steps 3, 4, 5, 6 and 8 in the reverse order.
If necessary, fill the dust control system water tanks according to the procedure shown in Before Start-Up paragraph.

ENGINE AIR FILTER CLEANING

WARNING!
Protect body parts (eyes, hair, hands, etc.) properly, when performing cleaning procedures using compressed
air or water gun.
Preliminary operations
Engage the parking brake (7, Fig. E).
1.
Turn off the engine, by turning the ignition key (17, Fig. D) counterclockwise, to the end of stroke, then remove it.
2.
Open the left panel door (4, Fig. G) by releasing the fasteners (5) with the supplied key.
3.
Pre-filter cleaning
Remove the screw (1, Fig. AD) and the pre-filter (2).

Clean and wash the pre-filter, then install it.

Filter cleaning
6. Remove the screw (1, Fig. AE) and the cover (2).
Remove the outer filter (3, Fig. AE) and the inner filter (4).
7.
Clean the filters (3 and 4, Fig. AE) carefully with compressed air (maximum 87 psi (6 Bar)) and replace them, if necessary.

Install the filters (3 and 4, Fig. AE).

10. Install the cover (2, Fig. AE) and tighten the screw (1).
Close the left panel (4, Fig. G) by engaging the fasteners (5) with the supplied key.

ENGINE RADIATOR FIN CLEANING CHECK

1. Empty the hopper (12, Fig. G); if it contains a small quantity of waste, it is not necessary to dump it.
Drive the machine on a solid and level ground, then engage the parking brake (7, Fig. E).

3. Lift the hopper (12, Fig. G), according to the procedure shown in the relevant paragraph.
Turn off the engine, by turning the ignition key (17, Fig. D) counterclockwise, to the end of stroke, then remove it.

Open the right and left panel doors (16 and 4, Fig. G) by releasing the fasteners (17 and 5) with the supplied key.

Remove the lifted hopper locking pins (9, Fig. F) from the housings (10), and place them into the holes (11).
6.
Empty the dust control system water tanks (17 and 21, Fig. F) according to the instructions shown in the relevant paragraph.
7.
On both sides of the machine, loosen the screws (19 and 23, Fig. F), and open the right and left tanks (17 and 21) outwards.

WARNING!
Open the tanks (17 and 21, Fig. F) outwards, only if they are empty: each tank can contain approximately 265 lb
(120 kg) of water.
Check the radiator fin cleaning as shown in the diesel engine Manual.

10. Perform steps 3, 4, 5, 6 and 8 in the reverse order.
If necessary, fill the dust control system water tanks according to the procedure shown in Before Start-Up paragraph.
