BURNER CONNECTION TO THE BOILER

assemBLing THe HeaD UniT
The combustion head is packaged separately from the body of
the burner.
Anchor the head unit to the boiler door as follows:
Position the insulating seals on the lung (B).
Anchor the flange of the lung (A) to the boiler (C) with the stud
bolts, washers and nuts provided (D), moving the lung with
the eye bolts.
Completely seal the gap between the burner sleeve and
the hole in the refractory material inside the boiler door with
suitable material.

The burner hinge can be opened both ways, it is therefore possible
to choose the opening side of the ventilating body. The burner is
set as standard for hinge installation on RH side. To enable the
maximum opening and so facilitate maintenance operations, it is
recommended to install the hinge on the side of the burner opposite
to the position where the gas train is installed.
To install the ventilating body correctly, follow the procedure
described below:
After installing head unit on the boiler, fit the two hinges on
the lung (E) using No. 4 screws (F) and the relevant washers,
without tightening all the way down the screws (usually, hinges
are previously assembled on the RH side but it's possible to
install them on the opposite side).
Position the ventilating body (G) at the two junctions (FIG. 2).
Use suitable chains or ropes anchored to the eye bolts (H) to
move the ventilating body.
Insert pin I and then secure it with the bolts (L) and the relevant
washers, paying special attention that the two hinges abutting
surfaces are perfectly in contact with the corresponding volute
sides. Do not tighten the nuts (L) too deeply, as this may make
hinge rotation difficult.
In this phase, do not tighten the hinges
screws (F) al the way down and do not
remove lifting chains.
Screw centring pin (M) on the side of the
fan flange opposite to the hinge (FIG. 2).
While keeping the chains always fixed to
the eye bolts, rotate ventilating body and
position the fan flange on the lung flange,
checking that pin (M) is inserted in the
corresponding hole (FIG. 2).
Close the burner using the screws (N) and
the relevant washers. Once the ventilating
body is connected to the head unit, start the
final tightening of the four screws (N) fixing
the hinges (FIG. 3), then release the lifting
chains or ropes.
