SPECIFIC INFORMATION

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Summary
CAMP "Pilot", "Solo", "TurboChest", "Solo 2" and "Lift" are roe adjustment devices for the industry certified in accordance
with standard EN 12841 type B (work line ascenders), and rope clamps for mountaineering certified in accordance with
standard EN 567.
Use (general information)
Insert the rope clamp on the rope as illustrated in fig.1. The raised arm reference marked on the product indicates the
direction of the upper end of the rope. After installing always conduct a locking test to verify correct insertion direction
(fig.2). Always check the correct closure of the attachment hole connector [2] on the locking structure [1]. Check that the
external elements do not prevent correct motion of the moving parts. For progression see Fig. 3; always hook the attack
point hole to your harness using compatible ropes and/or connectors. If you need to make a brief descent, first move the
lock slightly upward, release the cam [3] with your finger and then descend the desired length (do not touch the safety
button [4]) fig.4. To prevent accidental release of the Pilot/Solo/Solo 2 we recommend inserting a connector in the safety
hole [5] (fig.5). Do not hook to the progression safety hole. During progression it may be helpful to use a support for your
feet (fig.8).
Never ascend above the anchor and avoid creating any slack on the rope (fig.6).
The resistance of the clamps on the ropes of the specified diameters and types is at least 4kN and can be reduced with
worn/damaged ropes. The clamps should only hold the weight of one person.
The load must always be applied in parallel to the rope direction. Use on crossings requires greater experience and
presents greater problems with use: take particular care.
Avoid any dynamic stress that may damage the rope. Avoid and reduce to a minimum the use of clamps on dirty or icy
ropes: safety may be reduced or compromised. Do not use the clamps for self-belaying.
