5.4. TROUBLESHOOTING
Problem
No reception on the
parent unit
The 'Link' light on
the parent unit (5)
is flashing and the
parent unit cannot
hear the sounds from
the baby's room.
Is not possible to
hear the baby on
the parent unit, but
the 'Link' light is still
glowing steadily.
The power LED on
the parent unit (4) is
flashing.
Your baby monitor
is emitting a high
noise.
The power LED (4 or
11) does not light up
when connecting the
unit to the mains.
Batteries cannot
be charged in the
parent unit.
Batteries cannot be
charged in the baby
unit.
Possible Cause – things to do/check
• AC/DC adaptor has not been connected.
• No battery power in parent unit (check LED indicator).
• Parent Unit has not been switched on.
• Parent unit Out of range: move closer to the baby unit and
wait 5 seconds for the link to be established.
• The baby unit may not be transmitting (either not powered or
out of range)
• The parent unit may have been moved out of range: move
closer to the baby unit and wait 5 seconds for the link to be
established.
• The link between the parent unit ant the baby unit has been
lost: you may need to re-establish the link between the two
units, please see PAIRING section.
• The volume is OFF in the parent unit: check the volume is
turned up on the parent unit.
• The sensitivity on the baby unit is too low: you may need to
turn up the sensitivity of your baby monitor.
• The rechargeable batteries are nearly exhausted: put the
parent unit onto the charger pod.
• This may happen if your parent and baby units are too close
together: move them further apart.
• Check whether there is a power failure. Check whether all
connections are ok and both units are switched on (on/off key,
1 or 9).
• AC/DC adaptor has not been connected: plug the mains
adaptor into a mains power socket.
• Non-rechargeable batteries have been used, only special
batteries can be recharged (2 x AAA 1.2V 750mAh Ni-MH):
please check the batteries type and change them for the
provided ones.
• DO NOT use any rechargeable batteries in the baby unit. Only
use recommended batteries - 4 x AAA 1,5 V Alkaline.
