Copying test procedure into local
database
1. Switch on the EPS 708 at the master switch.
2. Close the EPS 708 guard.
3. Start the EPS945 software.
 The software performs initialization.
4. Insert the "EP software" CD in the CD/DVD drive.
5. In the "Injection component test - main menu" start
screen select <F7>.
 A password request appears.
6. Enter the password in the input line:
7. Confirm the entry with <F12>.
8. Select the menu item "System >> Data backup".
9. Continue with <F12>.
10. In the Selection of destination box, pick out the
drive "D:\ (CD-ROM)".
 The Destination components box displays
the test procedures 0445020105 C0 and
0445020105 C1.
11. Select the test procedures 0445020105 C0 and
0445020105 C1 in the Destination components
box.
12. Copy the test procedures selected into the local
drive with <F5>.

Calling up and starting calibration
test procedure
1. In the "Configuration" window, select the menu
item Calibration >> Rail pressure sensor.
 The "Rail pressure sensor calibration" window is
called up.
 The serial number and the calibration date of the
reference pressure sensor are displayed in the
External pressure sensor box.
2. Remove pressure sensor (see Fig. 27, Pos. 4) from
high-pressure connection for high-pressure rail.
i
The pressure sensor must be zeroed at ambient
pressure (atmospheric pressure); otherwise, the rail
pressure sensor will be calibrated incorrectly.
i
The pressure sensor zero adjustment is possible
with software version 4.35 or higher.
3. Zero the pressure sensor with <F3>.
4. Connect pressure sensor (see Fig. 27, Pos. 4) to
the high-pressure connection for the CRI/CRI piezo
distributor rail of the high-pressure rail.

The test bench is ready for operation.
7.6
Prior to calibration, the high-pressure rail must be
completely bled and conditioned. This involves running
the "Conditioning" test step for approx. 1 hour.
1. Call up the "Protocol" selection menu with <F2>.
2. Pick out the "Select test step" menu item.
3. Select the "Conditioning" test step.
4. Continue with calibration after roughly 1 hour (refer
to Section 7.7).
i
During this period perform leak detection in the test
oil chamber. Eliminate any leaks found and continue
with conditioning.
