1 Event Monitor

Installation

Multiple hazards. Only qualified personnel must conduct the tasks described in this section of the
document.
Installation guidelines
Do not install the monitor in an environment with a caustic atmosphere without a protective enclosure. A caustic
atmosphere will cause damage to electronic circuitry and components.
High internal temperatures will cause damage to components.
• Install the monitor in a clean, dry, well ventilated, temperature controlled location with minimum
vibration.
• If installed outdoors, install in an environmental enclosure that not only supplies protection from
precipitation and direct sunlight, but also supplies good ventilation and temperature control.
• Do not operate the monitor in direct sunlight or next to a heat source.
• Install the monitor on a level surface.
• Make sure that there is sufficient clearance around the monitor to make connections and to do
maintenance tasks.
