Function
This model offers the following features and
characteristics:
G The model comes fitted with RP-25 wheel sets
for operation on code 75 track. This means that
operation is not possible on almost all track
systems used in Europe. RP-25 is a standard
of the American "National Model Railroad Asso-
ciation" (NMRA).
G The model can optionally be controlled by direct
current (max. ± 14 Volt =) or by a DCC multi-train
system functioning to the NMRA standard.
The operating mode is detected automatically
(factory setting).
G Headlights come on when there is sufficient voltage
in the track. Headlights can be turned on and off
as an auxiliary function in operation with DCC.
G Only in DCC operation:
– Operating noise can be activated.
– Different sound effects can be turned on and off
(locomotive whistle, bell, injectors, coal being
shoveled).
– Accleration and braking delay that is set on the
decoder can be minimized.

G Ready for installation of a smoke generator.
The intensity of the smoke from the generator
depends on the voltage present in the track.
G This locomotive model comes with an analogue
interface plug. When running exclusively in ana-
logue direct current mode (e.g. with controllers
that do not supply filtered direct voltage), it may be
advantageous to remove the installed multi-train
decoder and mount the interface plug in its place.
The necessary maintenance that will comes
due with normal operation is described below.

No warranty or damage claims shall be accepted in
those cases where parts neither manufactured nor
approved by Trix have been installed in Trix products
or where Trix products have been converted in such
a way that the non-Trix parts or the conversion were
causal to the defects and / or damage arising. The
burden of presenting evidence and the burden of
proof thereof, that the installation of non-Trix parts or
the conversion in or of Trix products was not causal
to the defects and / or damage arising, is borne by
the person and/or company responsible for the
installation and / or conversion, or by the customer.
