The fi gures given in the table are approximate as the specifi c weight and size of the grains often vary. In any case, always
refer to the specifi c weight shown on the product packaging;
if this is not given, get in touch with the manufacturer.

4.5.5 DOSING TEST

For precise sowing, we recommend performing a dosing test with
the machine stationary to check the desired quantity to be distri-
buting by proceeding.
IMPORTANT
During the dosing test, pay attention to the points at which
there are parts in movement: seed agitator shaft, dosing
rollers, etc..
Perform the preliminary adjustments given in the adjustments table
ADJUSTMENT TABLE OF THE SEEDER, according to fertilizer
type, and in the following order:
- Gear lever position according to the quantity to be distributed
(Fig. 418);
- Botton gate position (Fig. 419).
Once the machine has been set, proceed as follows:
1) Extract the lock pin (A, Fig. 420) and move the bush housing
in the direction of the arrow.
2) Unhook the collecting trays (Fig. 421) and place them under
the fertilizer discharge.
3) Fill the hopper to mid-load.
4) Insert the crank (Fig. 422) on the gearbox shaft and rotate
clockwise.
5) Before starting the test, turn the handle a few times to load the
distributors with fertilizer, then empty the collecting trays.
6) Turn the handle the number of turns given in the CRANK
TURNS (Table 4) for the type of seeder and tires being used.
7) Weigh the seed collected in the trays and multiply the weight
by 100 or 40, depending on the number of rotations made.
The value obtained is the number of kilograms distributed per
hectare.
8) After seed discharge has been completed, return the bush
housing to their initial work positions.
