For expected shoulder dystocia, the
adjustable fowler and length-
adjustable footrests facilitate pelvic
opening. The operator's hands are
free to apply suprapubic pressure.
Knee/Chest
You can lower the footrest to
increase back stretch, help relieve
back labor, and aid in fetal rotation.

Operating the optional nurse call communication

Nurse call allows the patient to send a signal to the nurse station.
To activate nurse call, press the Nurse call button (see
Communication between the patient and the nurse station is established at the moment when the nursing staff responds
to the nurse call signal.
Note: A 9V battery, located in the head end of the product, powers the nurse call signal. If the product is unplugged from
a wall outlet while the nurse call pendant port switch is set to the ON position, the charge of the 9V battery will begin to
drain.
If the Power LED is blinking, you need to replace the 9V nurse call battery. See the Birthing Bed Maintenance Manual for
replacement procedures.

Lithotomy
The optional calf supports and
optional Skoocher system help
position the patient for better visibility
and access, whether for an
episiotomy, forcep application, or if
the patient is anesthetized.
Kneeling, Leaning Forward
Adjusting the Skoocher system and
the upright fowler position puts the
patient in an increased pelvic tilt,
allowing for better fetal descent and
rotation in the posterior position.

Side Lying
The optional calf supports are
accessible and easy to position for
appropriate flexion. The optional calf
supports can hold the patient's leg to
increase pelvic stretch.
