Safety
▪ When using a hoist, a second person must be present to coordinate the procedure if re-
quired (e.g. if the operator's field of vision is blocked).
▪ Keep away from the hoist's swivel range when hoisting the product.
▪ Standing under suspended loads is not permitted. Do not move suspended loads over work-
ing areas occupied by people.
▪ Risk of injury due to:
– Slipping
– Tripping
– Impact
– Crushing
– Falling
Wear the following protective equipment:
– Safety shoes
– Safety gloves that protect against cutting injuries
– Protective helmet
– Safety harness
▪ At the operation site, adhere to applicable laws and regulations for work safety and accident
prevention.
▪ Demarcate the working area.
▪ Keep the working area free from ice.
▪ Keep the working area free from any objects lying around.
▪ If the weather conditions mean it is no longer possible to work safely, stop work.
▪ Unauthorized persons must be kept away from the working area.
▪ Work must always be carried out by two persons.
▪ When working at a height of more than 1 m (3 ft) above the ground, use scaffolding with a
safety harness.
▪ Cordon off the working area around the scaffolding.
▪ Disconnect the product from the power supply and secure against unauthorized switch-on.
▪ All rotating parts must stop.
▪ Make sure that there is no risk of explosion when carrying out any work with electrical de-
vices.
▪ Only use hoists in a technically sound condition.
▪ Keep away from the hoist's swivel range when hoisting the product.
▪ Toxic or suffocating gases may build up when working in closed rooms or structures. Ensure
there is sufficient ventilation and observe protective measures according to work regula-
tions (examples):
– Measure gases before entering.
– Carry a gas warning device with you.
– etc.
▪ Keep people out of the product's working area. There must be no persons in the working
area during operation.
▪ Wear protective equipment according to the work regulations notice.
▪ The operator must inform his/her superior immediately of any faults or irregularities.
▪ If defects which are dangerous to health arise, an immediate deactivation by the operator
must be performed:
– Breakdown of the safety and monitoring devices
– Damage to the housing components
– Damage to electrical equipment
▪ The propeller must not crash into fixtures or walls in the operating space. Observe defined
clearances to fixtures and basin walls in accordance with consulting documents.
▪ If the water level varies significantly, ensure the required water immersion using level moni-
toring.
▪ Under normal operating conditions the product has a sound pressure of below 85 dB(A).
However, the actual sound pressure level depends on several factors:
– Installation depth
– Installation type
– Utilization
– Immersion depth
▪ Risk of injury through crushing and hot operating fluid. Wear the following protective equip-
ment:
