NOTICE
Use only technically faultless lifting equipment!
Use only technically faultless lifting equipment to lift and lower the mixer. Make sure that
the mixer does not jam during lifting and lowering. Do not exceed the maximum bearing
capacity of the lifting equipment! Check that lifting equipment is functioning properly
before use!
▪ Prepare the operating space/installation site:
– Clean, free of coarse solids
– Dry
– Frost-free
– Decontaminated
▪ Work must always be carried out by two persons.
▪ Avoid any painful or tiring body postures.
▪ When working at a height of more than 1 m (3 ft) above the ground, use scaffolding with a
safety harness.
▪ Cordon off the working area around the scaffolding.
▪ Toxic or suffocating gases may build up when working in closed rooms. Ensure there is suf-
ficient ventilation and observe protective measures according to work regulations (exam-
ples):
– Measure gases before entering.
– Carry a gas warning device with you.
– etc.
▪ If there is a build up of toxic or suffocating gases, take countermeasures immediately.
▪ Use a hoist to lift, lower and transport the mixer.
▪ Attach the hoist to the attachment point using a shackle. Only use technically approved lift-
ing gear.
▪ Keep away from the hoist's swivel range when hoisting the product.
▪ A hoist must be safely attached. The storage location as well as the installation site must be
accessible with the hoist. The storage location must have a firm surface.
▪ Observe minimum clearances to the walls and any fixtures.
▪ The routed connection cable must allow safe operation. Check whether the cable cross sec-
tion and the cable length are sufficient for the selected installation type.
After a storage period of more than 6 months, carry out the following maintenance tasks
before installation:
▪ Rotate the propeller.
▪ Change oil in seal housing.
WARNING
The propeller blade has sharp edges!
Sharp edges can form on the propeller blades. There is a risk of limbs being severed. Wear
safety gloves to protect against cuts.
Mixer is not connected to the power supply!
Protective equipment has been put on!
1. Place the mixer horizontally on a firm surface.
WARNING! Danger of crushing hands. Make sure that the mixer cannot fall over or
slip away!
CAUTION! Do not set the mixer down on the propeller! Use an appropriate pedestal
for the propeller diameter.
2. Grip the propeller slowly and carefully and rotate the propeller.
