Using the unit
INFO
Keep in mind the following requirements:
The inverter must be connected to a local network with an Internet output in ports UDP80 (or
UDP1194) and TCP8883.
The device that the remote connection is established from must have an Internet output in ports
TCP80, TCP22 and TCP9001.
By default the routers have the necessary ports for remote communication open. Otherwise, request the network
administrator to open these ports.
Ensure that the default gateway and network mask are correct, as the inverter will not have Internet access
otherwise. By default the inverter operates by DHCP and these parameters do not need to be set up in a network
with a DCHP server.
If the inverter is to be configured with a static IP, check the network setting properties of a computer or other
device in the same network, or request it from the network administrator.

18.6. Inverter monitoring

These inverters can be monitored from the web application, either locally or remotely. This web application also
includes the graphical representation of the inverter data.
To see all the inverter's variables, access the monitoring menu.
Thanks to the Energy Management System (EMS) integrated in the inverter, the installation can be monitored
remotely via computer or tablet/smartphone with the free INGECON SUN Monitor app, available both in the Play
Store and the App Store.

18.7. Inverter configuration

INFO
Access to the configuration menu is only allowed to installers (qualified personnel). This required logging in as
an installer in the web application.
Ingeteam accepts no liability for incorrect use of the installer username and password.
In the web application for the inverter there is as basic configuration (wizard) which allows to perform a basic
configuration of the unit and adapt it to different operation modes. To launch the wizard manually, go to the menu
Configuration > Setup Wizard > Launch guided wizard.
In addition to the wizard, these units have an advanced configuration menu for experienced installers.
This chapter explains the most relevant functionalities that can be accessed from this menu.

18.7.1. Configuring the battery type

CAUTION
The battery type selection in the configuration process must be done with caution. The battery manufacturer
does not offer any warranty if the battery type is configured incorrectly in the inverter.
For example, if a lead-acid battery is selected in the inverter when the battery is actually Li-Ion, it may be
damaged.
These inverters can work with lead-acid batteries and with Li-Ion batteries.
Lead-Acid batteries
For the lead-acid batteries to work properly and to safely prevent overcharges and complete discharges, several
settings related to the battery model installed must be configured. To do this, access Configuration > Advanced
Settings > Lead-Acid Battery Settings.
