STARTING UP THE SERIAL LINK

4.1.

When kit installation over

! After installing the kit, switch the computer on.
! Switch the multimeter on by turning the knob from the OFF position into the
required position, while keeping the Pk+/- key pressed.
! The RS 232 sigla is displayed on the annunciator during 2 secs. (This
deselects the multimeter keyboard).
! The multimeter is now ready to receive the commands from the computer.
4.2.

If there is any difficulty in start up

! Check the configuration of the computer serial link (speed, data bits, stop
bits, parity).
! Check that the 25-pin connector on the computer is compatible with the
adapter (refer to Appendix I).
If the fault persists after making these checks, connect the power supply to the
mains, and plug the jack into the back of the 25 pin connector connected to the
computer.
