After use
6.4.1
Shut down and disconnect
•
Stop the pump.
•
Disconnect the hydraulic hose(s) from the tool and the pump. Refer to section 5.3.
6.4.2
Inspection
•
Check the pump for completeness, leaks and damage. Do not use the pump if it leaks or is
damaged and contact the Holmatro dealer.
•
Check the level of the hydraulic oil in the tank, and add oil if necessary. Refer to section 4.3.
•
Check the fuel level, and add fuel if necessary to the maximum level. Refer to section 4.4.
WARNING
Petrol is extremely combustible and explosive in certain circumstances:
•
Only refill in well-ventilated areas.
•
Smoking is forbidden.
•
Close the fuel tank properly to prevent leaking.
•
Remove leaked fuel.

Cleaning and storage
Clean the pump
•
Make sure the pump has cooled down.
•
Clean the pump and any accessories before storage.
•
Clean the couplers and dust caps. Make sure the dust caps are installed.
•
Dry the pump if it was used in wet conditions. Apply a thin coat of preservative oil to the external
steel parts.
Drain the fuel
•
Check that the de-aeration button (Fig. 11/1) of the fuel cap is in position "OFF".
•
Check that the engine switch (Fig. 12/1) is in position "0".

•
Remove leaked fuel.
•
Remove the fuel tank filler cap (Fig. 25/3) from the pump.
•
Insert the suction hose from the siphon pump (Fig. 25/1) down to the lowest point of the fuel tank.
•
Use the siphon pump to empty the fuel tank into the jerrycan (Fig. 25/2).
•
Remove the screw (Fig. 5/1) and remove the service panel (Fig. 5/2) from the pump.
•
Use a screwdriver to remove the screw (Fig. 26/1) and drain the petrol from the carburetor.
•
Collect the petrol from the petrol hose (Fig. 26/2) at the bottom of the pump.
•
Turn the engine switch (Fig. 12/1) to position "1" so that the fuel valve opens.
•
Remove the service cover (Fig. 20/1) from the pump.
•
Remove the spark plug cap (Fig. 21/2) from the spark plug.
•
Pull three or four times on the pulling cord to empty the fuel pump.
•
Transfer the drained petrol into the jerrycan and close it properly.
•
Put back the spark plug cap on the spark plug.
