DMES−...
2
Function
A drive element (rotating slide spindle) converts the rotary movement of a motor
into a linear movement. The drive element moves the internal slide backwards and
forwards. The outer slide is moved by means of a fixed axial connection through a
slot in the profile. A band covers the slot in the profile.
Please note
The DMES is self braking: When the input torque is no longer applied, the slide
is braked. The slide can, however, move slowly if:
the DMES is mounted in a vertical position,
there is no holding torque on the drive pin,
there are vibrations.
Only the complete system (DMES with MTR−DCI) is self−locking. When the input
torque is no longer applied, the slide is blocked.

Application
The DMES−... has been designed for the
slow positioning of masses with high for
ces. It is permitted for the slide operating
mode.
Use the motors from the chapter Accessories".
S
You will then be operating two devices which are especially matched to each
other.
Note the maximum permitted values for forces and speeds in accordance with
S
the chapters Technical specifications" and Characteristic curves" (see ap
pendix, pages 111 to 121). These limit values apply for continuous operation.
During intermittent operation with sufficient cooling phases, the combination
of force and positioning speed may assume higher values. The maximum va
lues for force and speed must never be exceeded.
