1 General Information

Assembly and installation should only be carried out by

1.1 Uses
The submersible motor-driven pumps of the Wilo-Drain TP and
TS series are suitable for removing dirty water/sewage, mud
and clear fluids containing solids of max. 44 mm Ø (TP) or
10 mm Ø (TS) from shafts, pits and vessels. They are used
– for building and surface dewatering,
– in sewage and water-management,
– in environmental and domestic waste disposal,
– in industrial and process engineering.

The pumps are made from stainless steel (1.4301).
TP pumps, for pumping aggressive fluids such as condensa-
tes, partly demineralised and distilled water, in steel grade
1.4435 on request.
The submersible motor-driven pump is normally submerged by
the flow medium. They can be installed stationary or transpor-
table, but only vertically.
TS pumps may not be used to pump raw sewage con-
taining faeces, and TP pumps only on a limited basis.
Local regulations must be observed.
The pump must not be used for pumping drinking
water.
