4.0 Roofing Fall Protection
System Kits
Honeywell roofing fall protection system kits
are complete personal fall arrest systems
designed for roofing applications.
Anchor points must be capable of sup-
porting 5,000 lbs. (22.2kN) in the direction
permitted by the system while in use (or
provide a 2:1 safety factor).
Rope grab must be oriented on the lifeline
with the engraved arrow pointing toward
the roof anchor for proper operation of the
system.
Maximum system capacity is determined
by the system components. Do not ex-
ceed the maximum capacity of the system
component with the lowest capacity rating.
Refer to component labels.
All instructions, warnings and require-
ments pertaining to the individual system
components must be read, understood
and followed.
4.1 ReadyRoofer Fall Protec-
tion System
Installation
1. Don the full-body harness.
Refer to Fig. 6 for donning instructions.
2. Install roof anchor.
Refer to sections 2.1, 3.0, and 3.3 of this
manual for installation of the RA25-1 roof
anchor.
3. Connect lifeline snap hook to roof anchor D-
ring.
Ensure that snap hook completely closes
and locks.
4. Attach rope grab to lifeline.
Refer to Fig. 7a or 7b, depending on rope
grab included in system.
5. Connect lanyard between rope grab and har-
ness back D-ring.
Shock absorber pack snap hook must be
connected to harness back D-ring; the lan-
yard leg snap hook connects to the rope
grab. Ensure that both snap hooks com-
pletely close and lock.
4.2 Miller RA20 Roof Anchor
Kits
Installation
1. Don the full-body harness.
Refer to Fig. 6 for donning instructions.
2. Install roof anchor.
Refer to sections 2.1, 3.0 and 3.2 of this
manual for installation of the RA20-1 roof
anchor.
3. Connect lifeline to roof anchor D-ring using
the carabiner.
Refer to Fig. 8 for operation of carabiner.
4. Attach rope grab to lifeline.
Refer to Fig. 9 for operation of rope grab.
5. Connect lanyard between rope grab and har-
ness back D-ring.
Shock absorber pack snap hook must be
connected to harness back D-ring; the lan-
yard leg snap hook connects to the rope
grab. Ensure that both snap hooks com-
pletely close and lock.
4.3 Titan Roofing Fall Protec-
tion Kits
Installation
Follow installation instructions in section 4.1 of
this manual.
4.4 Titan B-Compliant Roof-
ing Kits
Installation
1. Don the full-body harness.
Refer to Fig. 6 for donning instructions.
2. Install roof anchor.
Refer to sections 2.1, 3.0 and 3.3 of this
manual for installation of the RA25-1 roof
anchor.
3. Connect lifeline snap hook to roof anchor D-
ring.
The lifeline snap hook must be connected
to the roof anchor D-ring to ensure that the
rope grab is pointed in the correct direction
for proper operation. Ensure that the snap
hook completely closes and locks.
