follows:
Open the package (par. 3.6) and take all the parts out;
-Fig.30 – Mark the midline "Y" on the window with a
pencil. Measure the distance "X" between the two chain
terminals of the C240 and mark it on the window,
symmetrically to the midline "Y" marked previously;
-Fig.31 – Position the snap fasteners on the wing 30mm
above the frame (see Fig.8), with the snap unfastener
indicator (Ref.1) to the right of the midline marking. Align
the fastener to the respective line, taking as reference the
rib at the center of the fastener, and mark the drilling
points.
-Fig.32 – Using a suitable drill, make 2 holes of
appropriate size in the wing and fasten the snap fastener
with screws type AF d4.2x19;
-Fig.33 – Position the two brackets for the top-hinged
assembly on the frame, spaced 80mm on either side of
the midline and using the measurements listed in Fig. 29.
For each bracket, mark the 4 drilling points with a pencil;
-Fig.34 ÷ 35 – Using a suitable drill, make 8 holes of
appropriate size on the frame and fasten the brackets
using the screws type AF d4.8x16;
-Fig.36 – Insert the two pairs of clamps for top-hinged
window applications, fitting them in the actuator slider
adjacent to the chain terminal, then close them partially
with the screw and nut in the package;
-Fig.37 – Position the clamps symmetrically about 80 mm
on either side of the chain terminal midline and tighten the
screw all the way;
-Fig.38 – Make the electrical connections as described in
para.5.6 and with reference to the wiring diagram shown
in Fig.43 for C240/230V, or Fig.44 for C240/23V. Use the
command to let the chain run out by at least 50mm and
disconnect the power cord;
-Fig.39 – First fasten the chain terminal to the snap
fastener, then fasten the clamps to the brackets for
connection to the window;
&
Make sure the brackets for connection to the window
are correctly fastened to their clamps.
-The number of clamps necessary for assembly will
depend on the length of the actuator: up to 3 meters only
2 clamps are needed, over 3 meters add a third at the
center of the actuator.
-Connect the power cord again.
For correct adjustment of the window closure, see the
&
instructions in para.5.5.
ADJUSTMENT OF WINDOW
5.5
CLOSURE
Correct closure adjustment of the window ensures the
duration and seal of the gaskets and proper function of
the actuator.
A good method to ensure correct installation of the
actuator consists of making a complete opening and
closing test of the window and, after terminating the
closing stage, checking that the window gaskets are
correctly compressed.

INSTALLATION AND USE INSTRUCTIONS
It is also necessary to check:
- that the chain terminals are aligned with the respective
snap fastener, otherwise improper alignment could
cause serious damage to the actuator and window (Fig.
40). In case of misalignment, loosen the fastening screws
and position the machine correctly;
- with the window open, the stroke selected should be a
few centimeters shorter than the stroke indicated by the
mechanical window stops;
- the two brackets connected to the window must be
aligned between them and their fastening screws fully
tightened.
5.6
ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
Electrical connection of the power unit must be
made exclusively by skilled, qualified technical
personnel in possession of the professional
requisites foreseen by the legislation in force in
the country of installation, who shall issue the
client a declaration of conformity of the connection
and/or installation made.
Connection of the model C240/24V must be made
&
with a low voltage safety power unit protected against
short circuit.
Any type of electrical material (plug, cable, clamps,
&
etc.) used for connection must be suitable for the
purpose, marked "CE" and must comply with the
requisites foreseen by the legislation in force in the
country of installation.
The electric power line to which the actuator is
&
connected must comply with the requisites foreseen by
the legislation in force in the country of installation, and
must have the technical characteristics indicated in Tab.1
and on the "CE" rating plate (par. 3.1).
The cross section of the electric power line must be of
&
suitable size for the power absorbed (see rating plate and
"CE" marking).
To ensure effective separation of the electric power
&
line, the device must be fitted, between it and the mains,
with a bipolar momentary circuit breaker (button) of an
approved type. Upstream of the control line, a bipolar
general circuit breaker must be installed, with contact
opening of at least 3 mm.
Before making the electrical connection of the
&
actuator, check that it and the window are correctly
installed.
Before making the electrical connection of the
&
actuator, check that the power cord is undamaged. If
necessary, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, the
technical assistance service or other qualified personnel.
5.7
CONTROL DEVICES
The control devices used to operate the actuator must
ensure the safety conditions foreseen by the legislation
in force in the country of use.
Depending on the different types of installation, the
actuators may be operated by the following types of
controls:
Manual button: Two-pole "dead man" type switch with
C240
