7 Putting out of operation
NOTE
• As the BRS-LC maintenance station is integrated into a welding system, putting out of operation

8 Maintenance and cleaning
Scheduled maintenance and cleaning is a prerequisite for a long life and a trouble-free operation. In doing
so, observe the following:
Risk of injury due to unexpected start-up.
For the entire duration of maintenance, servicing, dismounting and repair work, the following instructions
must be adhered to:
• Interrupt the power supply
• Interrupt the compressed-air supply.
Electric shock
Dangerous voltage due to defective cables.
• Check all live cables and connections for proper installation.
• Replace any damaged, deformed or worn parts.
NOTE
• The maintenance intervals given are standard values and refer to single-shift operation.
• Maintenance and cleaning work may only be carried out by qualified and trained specialists.
• Always wear your personal protective clothing when performing maintenance and cleaning work.
8.1 Weekly cleaning
1 Check the condition of the milling cutter.
2 Clean the clamping unit or the milling cutter.
3 Grease cutter guide after approx. 10,000 cuts.
8.1.1 Changing the cutter
The service life of the cutter depends on the filler materials used.
1 Unscrew the retaining plate and lubricating nipple.
2 Unscrew and replace the cutters.
3 Screw on the retaining plate again.
4 Check the fixed jaws for wear; reverse or replace if necessary.
8.2 Monthly cleaning
A monthly basic cleaning is recommended, and necessary in case of extreme working conditions.
