Inner Shell and Air Guide Inspection
Inner Shell removal
1. Remove the outer and inner shrouds and the helmet suspension from the helmet.
2. turn the helmet upside down and place a large flat blade screwdriver between the inner and outer
shell at the location of one of the front suspension pockets (fig. 14).
3. Push upward on the inner shell until it clears the gasket (fig. 15).
4. Replace the inner shell (W-8005) if it is deformed, cracked, or damaged or if the inner shell does not
fit securely into the helmet shell.
5. once the inner shell is removed, inspect the air guide. Replace the air guide (W-8004) if it is
cracked or if the foam material is damaged.
Air Guide replacement
1. Hold the air guide so the word "front" is at the top and facing you.
2. Place the bottom end (with the foam pad) into the back of the helmet and against the air inlet.
Center the middle crease of the guide with helmet crease (fig. 16).
3. bend the front portion of the guide to tuck the two plastic tabs under the gasket. Check for
alignment one more time and adjust if necessary. Push into place (fig. 17).
