Cleaning

follow the hygiene practices established by your employer for the specific contaminants to which you
have been exposed.
do not use strong solvents such as aromatic hydrocarbons or ketones to clean the headgear shell.
these solvents can cause deterioration of the shell's ability to withstand impact and penetration.
This could adversely affect respirator performance and result in injury or death.
Headgear and Faceshields
It is recommended that the headgear and faceshields be washed with warm soapy water followed by
a clean water rinse.
Breathing Tubes
the breathing tubes should be washed only with warm soapy water. Use of solvents on the breathing
tube may result in softening, which could lead to tears or ruptures.
Shrouds
the inner shroud may be removed from the helmet, laundered with a mild detergent and dried with
low heat. the outer shroud should be cleaned after each use. Clean with sponge and mild detergent,
then wipe dry. disinfect with any good disinfectant. frequent use of solvents will tend to stiffen the
outer shroud.

Storage

Store the cleaned respirator in a clean, dry location out of direct sunlight.
