Securing the lines for the parking sensors
- Insert the cable ties (H) into the bumper reinforcement roughly in the area shown in the
figure.
- Secure the sensor lines into the cable ties as follows:
- The first cable tie – all three lines,
- The second cable tie – two lines (the shortest line remains free),
- The third and fourth cable tie – one line (the central line remains free).
- Secure all of the lines to the bumper cross beam using three strips of foam rubber adhesive
tape (K) – see arrow.
Note. Secure all of the lines in such a way that the end with the plug is
free to a length of approx. 30 cm.
On vehicles with trailer coupling, use the cable ties (J
securing the lines for the parking sensors. Position the cable ties in
roughly the same locations as are used to secure the lines to the rear
bumper reinforcement.
- Connect the cable connector to the plug for the parking sensors and refit the rear bumper.

Connecting the brown and black/blue line
- Connect the lines to the plug of the rear light in accordance with the schematic in the figure.

Securing the speaker, control unit, lines
- Wrap suitable fabric tape around the cables from the speaker.
- Remove the protective film from the Velcro fastener on the speaker and affix the speaker to
the reinforcement of the wheel cover roughly in the area shown in the figure.
- Pull through the speaker lines parallel to the vehicle's existing electrical installation as far as
the rear light.
- Insert the sleeves for the speaker lines into the corresponding slots in the plug of the
parking sensor wiring harness (fig. 15). Connect the plug to the control unit.
- Affix the control unit (A) to the rear side panel in the area shown in the figure.
- Secure the speaker lines to the vehicle's existing electrical installation using three cable ties
(J) and to the vehicle's body using the foam rubber adhesive tape (K).
- Secure the parking sensor lines in the luggage compartment to the body using two strips of
foam rubber adhesive tape (K).
- Use the cable ties (J) to secure the connected plug (B) to the vehicle's existing electrical
installation in such a way that it cannot become loose when the vehicle is in motion. Then
also wrap the foam rubber adhesive tape (K) around the set – see details.
Check that all of the lines have been secured correctly. The wires must be attached in a
way that they cannot be damaged and that no interference noise occurs while driving.
