SYMPTOM
Abnormal noises on the hydraulic
pipes.
Presence of oil on the discharge of
the safety valve.
Water leaks from the pump on first
start-up

LIKELY CAUSE
Operation of the system pump
outside its performance curve with
excessive water flow rate.
Presence of air in the system.
Opening of the valve due to failure of
the protective devices to operate.
Opening of the valve due to
overtemperature.
Bedding in the mechanical seal
POSSIBLE SOLUTION
If it is not possible to work on the
control of the pump, partially close
the shut-off device on the delivery
side of the unit until the nominal flow
rate is restored.
Check that the air valves are not
shut off by valves.
Vent the system.
Check that the high pressure
switches are working and, if
necessary, replace them.
The valve must be replaced.
Replace the valve and restore the
charge.
Pressurize the pump body 2 or 3
times by closing and opening the
delivery valve so as to correctly bed
in the seal.
