Anti-freeze protection.
Min. temperature -5°C. The boiler comes standard with an antifreeze func-
ES
tion that switches on the pump and burner when the water temperature in
the boiler falls below 4°C.
However, the antifreeze function is guaranteed only if:
PL
- the boiler is correctly connected to the gas and electricity supply cir-
cuits;
- the boiler is constantly fuelled;
TR
- the boiler is not in stand-by (
- the boiler is not in ignition block (see page 196);
- the main boiler components are efficient.
CZ
In these conditions the boiler is protected against freezing to a room temperature
of -5°C.
Minimum temperature -15°C. If the boiler is installed in a place where
SI
the temperature is liable to drop to below -5°C and if the gas supply fails,
or the boiler is in ignition block, the appliance may freeze.
To avoid the risk of freezing, comply with the following instructions:
- Protect the heating circuit from freezing by introducing a good quality
HU
antifreeze liquid, carefully following the manufacturer's instructions
regarding the amount required, and respect the minimum temperature
required for preserving the system.
RU
The materials the boilers are made from are resistant to ethylene and propylene
glycol-based antifreeze liquids.
For life and possible disposal, follow the supplier's instructions.
- Protect the hot water circuit against freezing by using an accessory
IE
suppliable by request (antifreeze kit) comprising one electric heating
element, the relevant cables and a control thermostat (carefully read the
installation instructions contained in the accessory kit pack).
Boiler antifreezing protection is thus ensured only if:
SK
- the boiler is correctly connected to the electrical feed circuit and fuelled;
- the antifreeze kit components are efficient.
In these conditions the boiler is protected against freezing to a temperature of
-15°C.
The warranty does not cover damage due to interruption of the electrical power
supply and non-compliance with that given on the previous page.
N.B.: if the boiler is installed in locations where the temperature drops
to below 0°C then both the hot water and heating connection pipes must
be insulated.
1.4
Connections.
Gas connection (Appliance category II
Our boilers are built to operate on methane gas (G20) and LPG. Supply
pipes must be the same as or larger than the 3/4"G boiler fitting. Before
connecting the gas line, ensure that all system fuel pipelines are perfectly
clean, and remove any residue that could impair appliance efficiency. Also
make sure the gas corresponds to boiler specifications (see boiler dataplate).
If different, the appliance should be converted for operation with the
specific type of gas required (see converting appliance for other gas types).
The dynamic gas supply pressure must also be checked (methane or LPG)
according to the type used in the boiler, as insufficient levels could reduce
generator power and cause malfunctions.
Ensure correct gas cock connection. The gas supply pipe must be suitably
dimensioned according to current regulations in order to guarantee correct
gas flow to the boiler even in conditions of max. generator output and to
guarantee appliance efficiency (technical data). The coupling system must
conform to standards.
Combustible gas quality. The appliance is designed to operate on gas free

of impurities; otherwise it is advisable to fit special filters ahead of the ap-
pliance to restore the purity of the gas.
Storage tanks (in case of supply from LPG depot).
- New LPG storage tanks may contain residual inert gases (nitrogen) that
impoverish the mixture delivered to the appliance, causing anomalous
operation.
- Due to the composition of the LPG mixture, layering of the mixture
components may occur during the period of storage in the tanks. This
can cause a variation in the heating power of the mixture delivered to
the appliance, with subsequent change in its performance.
Water connection.
Important: before making the boiler connections, carefully clean the heating
system (pipes, radiators, etc.) with special pickling or descaling products to
remove any deposits that could compromise correct boiler operation.
In order to avoid scaling in the heating system, the provisions given in
the regulations on water treatment in heating systems for civil use must
be respected.
Water connections must be made in a rational way using the couplings on
the boiler template. The boiler safety valve outlet must be connected to a
discharge funnel. Otherwise, the manufacturer declines any responsibility
in case of flooding if the drain valve cuts in.
Important: to preserve the life and efficiency of the rapid-type exchanger,
it is advisable to install the "polyphosphate proportioner" kit in the presence
of water whose characteristics can give rise scale deposits (in particular, and
for example, the kit is recommended when water hardness is higher than 25
degrees French).
Condensate drain. To drain the condensate produced by the appliance, it
is necessary to connect to the drainage system by means of acid condensate
resistant pipes having an internal diameter of at least 13 mm. The system
connecting the appliance to the drainage system must be carried out in
such a way as to prevent freezing of the liquid contained in it. Before
appliance start-up, ensure that the condensate can be correctly removed.
Also, comply with current standards and national and local regulations on
discharging waste waters.
Electrical connection. The entire "Victrix 24 kW" boiler has IPX4D
protection rating. Electrical safety of the unit is guaranteed when correctly
connected to an efficient earthing system as specified by current safety
standards.
Important: Immergas S.p.A. declines any responsibility for damage or
physical injury caused by failure to connect the boiler to an efficient earth-
ing system or failure to observe the reference standards.
Also ensure that the electrical installation corresponds to maximum ab-
sorbed power specifications as shown on the boiler dataplate. Boilers are
supplied complete with an "X" type power cable without plug. The power
cable must be connected to a 230V ±10% / 50Hz mains supply respecting
the polarity L-N and earth connection
also be equipped with a multi-pole circuit breaker with contact opening
gap of at least 3.5 mm. When replacing the power supply cable, contact a
qualified technician (e.g. the Immergas Technical Assistance Service). The
power cable must be laid as shown.
In the event of mains fuse replacement on the control card, use a 3.15A
quick-blow fuse. For the main power supply to the appliance, never use
adapters, multiple sockets or extension leads.
If correct L-N polarity is not complied with during connection, the boiler
will not detect the flame and inhibits start-up.
Important: also, whenever L-N polarity is not respected, if the neutral is
live with temporary residual voltage over 30V, the boiler might operate just
the same (but only temporarily). Measure the voltage readings with suitable
tools; avoid the use of mains tester screwdriver.
; the mains power supply must
