• Do not mistreat, disassemble or attempt to
repair the battery.
• Do not use the battery if it is visibly damaged,
malfunctions or appears to leak electrolyte.
• Take extreme care to avoid direct contact
with electrolyte, hot or smoking parts. In case
of the above, disconnect and remove the
battery when it is judged safe to do so.
Patient Simulator - External Power
Warnings
• Only connect the Patient Simulator to a
Laerdal approved external power supply
dedicated to use on Nursing Anne Simulator.
• Do not use the Patient Simulator in close
proximity to real patients when it is connected
to the external power supply.
• Patient Simulator should be connected to an
electrical outlet that is properly grounded.
Air Tank
Warnings
• Do not disassemble or attempt to repair the
internal parts of the right thigh.
• Do not puncture.
Defibrillation
Warnings
• Observe normal safety precautions for use of
defibrillators.
• Defibrillation must be performed using
ShockLink only. Refer to ShockLink Important
Product Information.
• Do not attach medical device defibrillator
electrodes or place defibrillator paddles on
any part of the simulator.
• Only defibrillate the patient simulator when it
is fully assembled, dry and undamaged.
• Do not defibrillate the patient simulator when
it is turned off.
• Do not defibrillate the Patient Simulator in a
flammable or oxygen-enriched atmosphere.
This is a fire-hazard.
Nursing Anne Simulator
• Do not apply conductive gel or conductive
defibrillation pads intended for patient use to
prevent chest skin pitting.
• Do not use cables or connectors with visible
damage.
CAN CPU Module (Component of
simulator)
Cautions
• The device for operation in the band 5150-
5250 MHz is only for indoor use to reduce
the potential for harmful interference to
co-channel mobile satellite systems;
• The maximum antenna gain permitted for
devices in the bands 5250-5350 MHz and
5470-5725 MHz shall comply with the e.i.r.p.
limit; and
• The maximum antenna gain permitted
for devices in the band 5725-5825 MHz
shall comply with the e.i.r.p. limits specified
for point-to-point and non point-to-point
operation as appropriate.
• The worst-case tilt angle(s) necessary to
remain compliant with the e.i.r.p. elevation
mask requirement set forth in Section 6.2.2(3)
shall be clearly indicated.
• Users should also be advised that high-power
radars are allocated as primary users (i.e.
priority users) of the bands 5250-5350 MHz
and 5650-5850 MHz and that these radars
could cause interference and/or damage to
LE-LAN devices.
