Function and application

When the supply ports are pressurised alternately, the piston rod of the DDPC standard cylinder moves
in and out. The standard cylinder features an integrated, incremental displacement encoder. There is a
magnetic tape in the piston rod. A sensor in the bearing cap converts the magnetic pulses of the mag-
netic tape into electric signals.
The DDPC has been designed for transporting work masses. The integrated measuring system has been
designed for monitoring the piston position in combination with a positioning controller from Festo
(e. g.B. CPX-CMPX, CPX-CMAX, SPC200, SPC11 "Soft Stop") or for use as a measuring cylinder with
CPX-CMIX or DADE.
The DDPC is not intended for manufacturing processes which are sensitive to copper or PTFE.
