5.3 Tire Mounting

Above all, check the tire and rim to prevent an explosion during the inflation process. Before the installation,
make sure that the dimensions of the tire and rim are the same and that the tire and tread fibers are not
damaged. If not, do not mount the tire; the rim shall be free of dent and warpage. Make sure that there is no tiny
crack inside the aluminum alloy rim. Otherwise, the cracks may result in the risks, especially during the inflation.
Do not put your hand(s) between the rim and clamping jaw while clamping the rim. Avoid the personal injuries!
Do not put your hands under the tire while locking the rim. The correct operation may make the tire exactly at
the center of large plate.
Tilt the tire on the wheel (left side higher than right side) and press the hexagonal shaft so that the dismounting head is positioned against
the rim and locked. With the left rear bead above the tail of tire-changing head and the right front bead under the front of dismounting
head (Fig. 5-5), fit the tire edge into the slot of rim. Press the pedal (Fig. 4-16-10) to make the large plate to rotate clockwise. Continue this
operation until the tire is fully fitted into the rim.
Keep the hand(s) and other parts of body as far away as possible from the tire-changing arm while the large
plate is turning so as to prevent work accidents.
Mount the inner tube (if any) in the tire and fit the valve core. Load the upper bead following the previous step.
During the mounting and removal of tire, the large plate shall rotate clockwise. Counterclockwise rotation is only
permissible for error correction when the operating failure is caused by the stagnation of machine.
