Attaching the clamp
!
The clamp is only to be used in conjunction with the
manufacturer's own wheel alignment unit.
!
The clamping method used depends on the type of
rim and the means of attachment. Special clamping
jaws are to be used for high-grade rims and for com-
mercial vehicle rims.
!
Use of the Multi-Fit wheel clamp is a prerequisite for
moving run-out compensation.
i
Detach the wheel caps if necessary.

Multi-Fit wheel clamp
!
Drive onto the platform or over the pit before attaching
the Multi-Fit wheel clamp to the wheel.
i
The Multi-Fit wheel clamp fits all steel and alumi-
num rim sizes between 13" and 22".The extension
permits use of the multi-fit wheel clamp up to 28".

!
For a rim size of 13" , make use of the inner mounts
of the clamping jaws and attach the Multi-Fit wheel
clamp horizontally to the rim.
!
The outer mounts of the clamping jaws are to be
used for rim sizes of 21" to 22".

i
By way of the rotary knob of the threaded spindle,
the Multi-Fit wheel clamp can quickly be centred
from inside to outside and from outside to inside in
the centre axis of the rim and clamped to the rim.
i
Make sure the mounting hole is located centrally
with respect to the upper and lower clamping slides.
The two thumb screws can be used for adjustment
(heed red mark).
i
Make sure that use is made of identical mounts for
the clamping jaws.
1. Position the clamping jaws evenly on the inside or
outside of the rim flange.
2. Press the clamping jaws outwards or inwards
against the rim by turning the spindle.
i
The torque limitation takes effect once the clamping
force has been attained.
3. Engage the securing cables at the rim.
Make sure the securing cable is engaged.

!
Check the firmness of the clamping jaws again
following attachment of the multi-fit wheel clamp to
the tyre.If the holding force is not adequate, adapt
the type of clamping or clamping jaws.
i
6-sensor system: (only for CCD-wheel alignment systems):
If the transverse measurement path is interrupted at the
front, the position of the guide frame of the multi-fit wheel
clamp must be altered at the front left and right wheels.
!
Following completion of run-out compensation, the
Multi-Fit wheel clamps must be in vertical position.
