7.4 Maintenance work

For maintenance work, please contact our Customer
Service Department. (see
Before adjusting the height of the desk, make sure
that the desktop is level. If the floor is uneven, align
the desktop with the adjusting screws on the feet.
Ensure that there are no objects in the movement
range of the lift column!
Danger due to voltage!
Contact with voltage can cause severe
injury or death due to electric shock.
Attach or detach connectors only when
the equipment is de-energised.
Do not open the housings of the
following components:
- Power lift
- Columns
- Control panel

Risk of injury!

Unintentional lifting or lowering of the
desktop can cause injury.
For maintenance work on all non-
electrical components of the desk,
detach the electrical connection of the
height adjustment unit from the mains.
Risk of injury or damage!
The fastening screws could tear if the desk
is lifted by the desktop or the attached
components.
Always grab the desk at the underframe
to transport or move it.

Risk of damage to lift mechanism!
The values stored in the power lift do not
match the settings of a different desk.
After dismantling the desk, e.g. for transport
reasons:
Reassemble the two side frames
only with the appropriate
desktop cross-member of the
same desk.
Follow the separate assembly
instructions in this regard.
PLEASE NOTE
Using unapproved spare parts can
cause damage to the desk.
Only components provided by Steelcase
may be used as spare parts. Coordinate
the installation of differing parts with
Steelcase.
Comply with the specified
maintenance and inspection
intervals.

7.4.1 Exclusion of liability

Steelcase assumes no liability or warranty in the
Liability, Page 2
following cases (see
Inadequate monitoring of the product
components (functional checks).
Improper maintenance.
Maintenance by a third party.
Maintenance by unqualified personnel.
Use of components and adaptations that do not
originate from Steelcase.
Unapproved modifications to the product with
regard to its design and configuration.
Deliberate incorrect operation.
