Do not perform the test if the O-ring is missing or
damaged. Always use genuine Bosch O-rings.
3. When using the guide sleeve for an injector
with a conical nozzle retaining nut, place O-ring
⌀6.5 x 4 (see Fig. 75, item 1) in the guide sleeve.
4. Remove the O-ring (Fig. 75, item 3) and check for
cracks or other damage. Immediately replace a dam-
aged O-ring (spare part 1 680 210 123).
5. Insert the O-ring (Fig. 75, item 3) in the groove in
front of the injection chamber.
6. Insert the Ecopur sealing ring (Fig. 75, item 2) in the
guide sleeve (Fig. 75, item 1).
7. Insert the guide sleeve (Fig. 75, item 1) in the injec-
tion chamber.
8. Secure the guide sleeve with the knurled screw
(Fig. 75, item 4).

Clamping injector

The appropriate retaining plate for the injector con-
cerned can be found in the system software EPS 945
in the "Component selection" window under
"General values".
1. Check the knurled nut (Fig. 76, item 2) for correct
positioning (see sec. 4.7).
2. Select the appropriate retaining plate (Fig. 76,
item 9).

3. Position the retaining plate on the injector face
(Fig. 76, item 6).
4. Press down and hold the operating lever (Fig. 76,
item 1) at the injector holder.
5. Insert the retaining plate with the injector in the
guide (Fig. 76, item 3) of the injector holder. This
involves turning the connection adapter (Fig. 76,
item 7) such that the resting surface (Fig. 76,
item 8) of the connection adapter is facing the
mount (Fig. 76, item 4).
6. Release the operating lever (Fig. 76, item 1).
7. Insert the connection adapter in the mount (Fig. 76,
item 4).
8. Tighten the hexagon socket (Fig. 76, item 5) head
bolt.

9. Press the clamping piece (Fig. 77, item 3) and injec-
tion chamber (Fig. 77, item 1) upwards against the
nozzle retaining nut of the injector (Fig. 77, item 5).
The injector must not have any axial play.
10. Tighten the handwheel (refer to item 77, item 4)
11. Press down the lever (Fig. 77, item 2) to press on
the injection chamber.
