SERVICING YOUR GENERATOR

SEDIMENT CUP CLEANING

The sediment cup prevents dirt or water that may be in the fuel tank
from entering the carburetor. If the engine has not been run for a long
time, the sediment cup should be cleaned.
1.Turn the fuel valve lever to the OFF position, then remove the
sediment cup, O-ring, and filter. Discard the O-ring.
2.Clean the sediment cup and filter
in nonflammable or high flash
point solvent, and dry them
thoroughly.
3.Reinstall the filter, new O-ring,
and sediment cup, and tighten
the sediment cup securely.
4.Turn the fuel valve lever to the
ON position and check for leaks.

injured when handling fuel.
• Stop the engine and keep heat,
sparks, and flame away.
• Handle fuel only outdoors.
• Wipe up spills immediately.
