Using other chargers could cause explosions, which could result in personal injury
or death. If another charger is used, it must meet the requirements in the "Technical
specifications" table.
• The optrel charger is only intended for indoor use and must not be exposed to
external elements. Do not charge the battery below 0 ° C or above 45 ° C. Do not
charge the battery near flammable materials such as wood, paper and furniture.
• The battery must be charged in a safe, safe place. Do not charge or store the battery
near a welding machine.
• Never expose the lithium-ion cells to water and do not allow them to get wet.
Accidental, short-term exposure to water on the battery is acceptable, provided the
lithium-ion cells remain dry.
• Do not disassemble or modify the battery. The batteries contain safety and
protection devices which, if damaged, can cause the batteries to generate heat,
explode or ignite.
WARNING
• Do not expose the battery to direct sunlight, use or store it near sources of heat
or electric arcs
• Failure to comply with these warnings can result in serious physical injury, serious
illness or death
ATTENTION
• Note the temperature recommendations from optrel for charging and storage.
Charging at lower or higher temperatures leads to a reduction in capacity and reduces
the service life of the battery.
• Avoid damaging or tearing the cells.
• If the battery is damaged, swollen, leaking electrolyte, or becomes unusually hot
while charging, discontinue use immediately and store the battery in a fire-resistant
container until it can be recycled
Do not leave the battery on the charger for more than 70 hours.
Battery status display: See page IV (d1-d6)
Setting the air flow: The blower has three air flow levels: 100/115/130 L / min. To
change the airflow level, press the On / Off button and cycle through the various
levels until the desired level is reached (S. III / c2) or use the wheel on the connected
control panel (S. IV / d1).
Replace main filter and prefilter: If a filter alarm is issued (audible / visual with control
panel connected), the prefilter must be replaced (p. III / c4-c8). Please monitor the
time between filter alarms. This becomes shorter after every replacement of the
prefilter. If you have the impression that the change intervals are becoming too short,
we recommend changing the main filter and the pre-filter (p. III / c4-c8).
Alarm functions
Filter alarm: If the filter clogging alarm is activated, you will hear an acoustic signal
with an interval of 0.5s (0.25s on, 0.25s off) and the LEDs light up red when the control
panel is connected. When operating without a control panel, the device switches to
the next lower level if level II or III is set in order to achieve the air flow. The following
signal tones can then be heard: 10x beeps (warning tone that the level is changed)
and 2x beeps (level II is set) or 1x beep (level I is set). If you want to change the pre-
filter and the main filter, press the On / Off button for 2 seconds to switch off the fresh
air system. You can now change the filters.
Battery alarm: If the battery alarm is activated, you will hear an acoustic signal with
an interval of 3.0s (1.5s on, 1.5s off), and the LEDs light up red when the control
panel is connected. An acoustic signal is emitted every second and the device can
be used for approx. 30 minutes.
Storage
The fresh air system and accessories must be stored in a dry place. Protect them from
sunlight, high temperatures, hydrocarbons and solvent fumes.
Maintenance
Check the fresh air system regularly according to these operating instructions. Check
the mask and tubing for holes, tears, or other damage and make sure that the parts
are properly assembled. Do not use the system until all worn or damaged parts
have been replaced.

Maintenance according to DGUV rule 112-190,
paragraph 33 Maintenance, repair and
replacement measures or local regulations
Annual maintenance must be carried out by a specialist company qualified by optrel
(optrel ServicePartner). When storing the fresh air system, the battery must be charged
every 4 months.
Cleaning and disinfection
Clean the fan and air hose with a cloth dampened with soapy water. Let the device dry
at room temperature. Do not use any aggressive cleaning agents or solvents, pure
alcohol or cleaning agents containing abrasives. The mask is washable (max. 90 ° C
with a standard household detergent).
Troubleshooting
Fan does not turn on
→ Make sure that the battery is inserted correctly.
→ Make sure that the battery is fully charged.
The filter alarm is activated although the pre-filter and main filter have been replaced
and are properly installed
→ Internal swiss air error
→ Send the fresh air system to the nearest optrel dealer.
Battery life is too short
→ Battery defective - replace the battery and dispose of the defective battery as
hazardous waste
→ Charger defective - replace.
