15.20 Fuses

Fire hazard!
Never bypass the fuses with wire or
foil.
Never use a fuse with a value that
differs from the specified rating
(amperes).
If a new fuse blows within a short
time, an electrical fault (e.g. short
circuit) is the probable cause.
We recommend that you consult a
specialist dealer. STIHL
recommends STIHL specialist
dealers.
Checking the plug-in fuses:
The plug-in fuses are located in the battery
compartment.
● Stop the engine. (

● Remove the ignition key and keep it in a
safe place.
● Open the battery compartment.

Remove the plug-in fuses (1,2). Visually
check whether the wire (3) in the plastic is
damaged (burnt through).
Replace damaged fuses.
Charging device (1): 15 A
Electrics (2): 10 A
● Close the battery
compartment. (
Checking the main fuse:
The main fuse (150 amps) is located
behind the battery.
● Remove the battery. (

Open the cover (1) by lightly pressing the
tabs (2) to the rear.

Visually check whether the fuse (3) is
damaged (blown). If necessary have the
fuse (3) replaced by a specialist dealer.

dealers.
● Close the cover again.
● Install the battery. (
15.21 Charging the battery using the
charger plug
The STIHL ACB 010 battery float charger
or the STIHL ADL 012 diagnostic charger
(neither included in standard equipment)
can be connected.
Only float charging can be performed with
the STIHL ACB 010 battery float charger.
Both float charging and full charging
(charging an empty battery) can be
performed with the ADL 012 diagnostic
charger.
