Detach cap (1). Disconnect red cable (2)
from the battery positive (+) terminal by
unscrewing nut (3) using two A/F 8
spanners and removing together with
bolt (4), washers (5) and spring
washer (6).
● Remove the battery if necessary.
● Attach the bolts, washers and nuts to
the battery terminals for safe keeping.
● If necessary, stow the connection
cables in the battery compartment and
close the battery compartment.

Connecting the battery:
Check the charge state of the
battery before installing it.
If the voltage is lower than 11.5 V,
recharge the battery using a
suitable battery charger before
installation.
● Move the battery into the assembly
position.
● If necessary, remove the bolts, washers
and nuts from the battery.

Fire hazard!
Always observe the specified
torque. Make sure that the bolt
connections at the terminals are
always tightened to avoid damage
due to sparking.
Attach red cable (1) to the battery
positive (+) terminal using bolt (2),
washers (3), spring washer (6) and
nut (4).
Tighten the bolt connection to 6 - 8 Nm
using two wrenches A/F 8. Fit cap (5) to
completely cover the bolt connection.
Attach black cable (1) to the battery
negative (–) terminal using bolt (2),
washers (3), spring washer (5) and
nut (4).
Tighten the bolt connection to 6 - 8 Nm
using two wrenches A/F 8.
Lift the battery (1) and tilt inwards slightly.
Carefully insert the battery, making sure
that the two connection cables are
properly stowed in the battery
compartment.
● Close the battery compartment.
