WIRELESS i-TTL AUTO FLASH
In the wireless i-TTL auto flash, the camera automatically
controls the exposure to an appropriate value.
MASTER UNIT SETTING
1. Set the Flash mode to [WL TTL].
2. When necessary, perform "Setting
the channel" and "Master unit flash
setting" in the Mode details area.
3. When necessary, in the Mode
details area, set the flash exposure compensation value of
each master and slave group.
Changing the discretional slave group to manual flash or
cancelling flash is possible.
① When the
button is pressed
while the flash mode is selected,
the screen cycles the display to
show that of the flash mode on
the slave unit(s).
② Select the group you wish to change and set to [M]
(manual flash) or [OFF] (cancelling flash).
③ Select [BACK] and press the
previous screen.
④ In the Mode details area, set the flash amount of the group
that is set to Manual flash.
SLAVE UNIT SETTING
4. Perform the setting by following "PREPARATION OF
WIRELESS FLASH (SLAVE UNIT)".
5. Place the slave unit, confirm the completion of charging, and
then start shooting (the slave notifies the completion of

charging by blinking the AF assist light.)
Right after the shooting, if there is any group that might
beunderexposing, that group will emit a beep as as a
warning (refer to [BEEP SOUNDS] on the page 32). In that
case, change the conditions and shoot again.
WIRELESS MANUAL FLASH
As well as manual flash photography, wireless shooting whereby
the flash output can be manually set is also available. Decide
the exposure by using a commercially-available flash meter.
MASTER UNIT SETTING
1. Set the Flash mode to [WL
2. When necessary, perform "Setting
the channel" and "Master unit flash
setting" in the Mode details area.
3. In the Mode details area, set the flash amount of each group
(including the master when Master flash is set to on).
(Available range for setting: 1/128 to 1/1, Available pitch for
setting: 1/3EV.)
Changing the discretional slave group to i-TTL auto flash mode
or turning off the flash is possible.
