Designated use
The MTR−DCI motor unit is an intelligent servo motor con
sisting of DC motor, planetary gear, encoder and inte
grated control electronics (positioning control and position
regulator). The mechanical design and plug−in interface of
the MTR−DCI have been optimized for use with electric
linear drives (e.g. type DMES−..., DGE−...) from Festo. The
motor unit can also be used for customer−specific posi
tioniing applications with slow spindle drives.
The higher−order PLC/IPC is connected via digital
inputs/outputs (MTR−DCI−...IO) or with the appropriate
product variants via the field bus (in preparation:
DeviceNet, CANopen, PROFIBUS−DP).
Commissioning as well as position and speed parametriz
ing of the position sets is carried out:
with the FCT software package and the PlugIn MTR−DCI
via the RS232 interface
or for type MTR−DCI−...H2 optionally with the control
panel of the motor unit (display and 4 operating
buttons).
