5 Functional description
The extraction system forms part of a welding system and is intended for use with manual and robot welding torches.
Depending on the version, either 1 to 2 or 1 to 4 fume external extraction systems can be connected. The filter medium
corresponds to the welding fume separation class H13. The extraction system is designed to separate fumes generated
during welding or the thermal cutting of steels with alloy constituents such as nickel or chrome < 30 % and high-quality steels.

Functional description
Harmful fumes are produced during the welding process. The extraction system draws in the polluted air through the air
intake fittings (1) and feeds it into the filter system. The air and particles are separated in the filter chamber.
During this process, the air is pressed through the filter membrane. The particles and dust from the welding process stick to
the surface of the filter material. The cleaned air is then fed into the lower section of the extraction system and returned to the
environment through an exhaust air grille (1).
The cleaning process starts automatically when the maximum permissible air resistance is reached.
The extraction system can be connected to the following receptacles:
• Fume extraction torch
• Welding torches of external extraction systems
• Funnel-shaped nozzle with magnetic bracket
