field (single-break, double-break, or multi-break operation;
beam break
200 ms).
The machine's first stroke (e.g. after switching on) is triggered
either by the start key or by intrusion into the protection field,
depending on the starting sequence. According to the
machine's working motion, e.g. during upward motion, a
machine contact reports its status to terminals 42 and 43 by
making and breaking a circuit ( 100 ms).
The outputs are deactivated and the AOPD (e.g. FGS Safety
Light Curtain) waits for one, two or multiple intrusions,
according to the run mode selected, before restarting the
machine cycle. At the same time the LCU controls the receiver's
yellow "wait for incursion" indicator light via the RS 485 data
interface on terminals 7 and 8.
During the machine's downward motion (dangerous motion) an
intrusion into the protection field has the effect of rendering
all outputs inactive and locking the plant. The machine's next
working motion is triggered by the start key and intrusion into
the protection field, depending on the starting sequence
selected.
Starting
The starting sequence of the safety device (FGS Safety Light
Sequence
Curtain and LCU-P) determines how a machine's (e.g. a
press's) first working motion is activated after the power has
been switched on or the protection field infringed, i.e. how the
"green" condition is obtained.
