Electrical installation
5.2.
External displays with blanking,
reduced resolution and muting
If "Blanking/Reduced Resolution" or "Muting" is used, the
corresponding indicators must be connected. These safety
related indicators are monitored via the LCU (output current
0.02 ... 0.4 A).
The indicators "Restart Required" and "Weak Signal" are
optional (output current (0 ... 0.4 A). In case of using this NPN
indicator outputs on a PLC, a resistor (i.e. 1 k /1 W) has to be
connected between terminal 57–58 and/or 63–64 for
potential equalization. The output signal is provided on terminal
58 and/or 64 (NPN function). The 0 V-potential of both power
supplies LCU and PLC must be linked.
Status Output
The indicator for the status output (NPN) is not safety related.
It can be used for the indication of a beam break on sensor 1
and/or 2. In case of using this output on a PLC, a resistor (i.e.
1 k /1 W) has to be connected between terminal 65–66 for
potential equalization. The output signal is provided on terminal
66 (NPN function). The 0 V-potential of both power supplies
LCU and PLC must be linked.
