Chapter 13
Operating instructions
LCU-P
Normal operation is only available after the command device
has been released (testing of n. o. contact). In "without restart
interlock" run mode the LCU automatically reactivates the
outputs.
In other run modes, such as "guard only operation", the LCU
behaves in the same way after the system test as after
switching on of the supply voltage ("press reset switch").
Reset Switch
The "press and release/latched" option makes various reset
switch operations possible on the LCU (terminals 55 and 56).
The "single stroke" function is set in user mode. It enables an
Single Stroke
operating cycle to be triggered, for example during the setting
up of machines.
With the "latched" option, the operating cycle can be run
through step by step (press and release of the reset button).
The machine's upward motion is indicated to the LCU by means
of machine contact, inputs B1/B2. The reset switch is bridged
by this until the end of the cycle (B1/B2 are disconnected at
the end of the cycle).
With the "unlatched" option, one operating cycle is run through.
The reset switch can be removed after the machine has
started. B1/B2 are active in the non-dangerous upward motion
and are disconnected at the end of the cycle (restart interlock).
Relay
Dynamic relay monitoring oversees the action of the connected
Monitoring
contact elements (relay). The action of the switching elements
must take place within 200 ms, otherwise both LCU outputs are
deactivated again.
