Attach the gearbox support to the workshop crane
as described in the workshop manuals and
operating instructions.
WARNING
Risk of a falling load!
Attaching the gearbox support to the workshop
crane incorrectly could cause the load to tilt or fall.
This could result in serious injuries and severe
damage to materials.
Fasten the gearbox support to the workshop
crane exactly as described in the workshop
manuals.
Observe the operating manuals of the
respective accessories used.
Ensure that the gearbox support T40344A is
correctly installed before lifting the load.

Attach the gearbox support to the engine and
gearbox trestle VAS 6095 or VAS 6095A as
described in the workshop manuals and operating
instructions.
WARNING
Risk of a falling load!
If the gearbox support is not attached to the engine
and gearbox trestle correctly, the load may swivel
or slip! This could result in serious injuries and
severe damage to materials.
Ensure that the support flange is completely
inserted in the hollow shaft of the engine and
gearbox trestle.
Ensure that the gearbox support is secured to
the hollow shaft with a ball lock pin.
Only remove the ball lock pin when the gearbox
is attached to the workshop crane with the
gearbox support.
CAUTION
Crushing hazard!
Risk of crushing between the load and
VAS 6095/VAS 6095A when moving the load.
Position hands and feet in such a manner that
crushing hazards do not exist when moving the
load.
10. Move the gearbox to the desired working height
and working position.
11. Carry out further work as described in the
workshop manuals.
12. Ensure that all parts of the special tool have been
removed after completing the repair work.
13. Store the gearbox support and the bolt in a suitable
location.
