Faults

!
Should any faults occur which are not listed below, immediately deenergize the lifting platform, shut it down,
secure against unauthorized use and inform Bosch customer service or an authorized service agent.
!
All repair work is to be performed by Bosch customer service or an authorized service agent. Exclusive use is
to be made of genuine Bosch replacement parts. The use of parts from other manufacturers renders the type
approval invalid.
7.1
Faults during lifting platform operation
Fault
No motor operation.
Motor operation but lifting
platform not raised.
Support arm locking not working
Lifting platform not lowered.
Noise during lifting or lowering.
Lifting platform tilts on raising
or lowering.
No cut-out by switch rod at
overhead beam.
7.2
Emergency lowering in the event of
power failure
i
No power is required for lowering the lifting plat-
form. The lowering valve is actuated mechanically by
way of the control lever.
This means that the lifting platform can be lowered
even in the event of power failure, simply by pressing
down the control lever (u).
Emergency lowering
The method described above will not work if the lock-
ing pawls are not released. In this case the lifting car-
riages must be raised slightly to relieve the load on the
locking pawls. The lifting platform can then be lowered
by way of the control lever. Always heed the following
hazard warning when doing so:
Robert Bosch GmbH
Possible cause
R Master switch on "O".
R Power failure.
R Vehicle has actuated limit switch.
R Motor overloaded; circuit breaker tripped.
R Control fuse defective.
R Vehicle too heavy.
R Lifting carriage has reached upper end
position.
R Lack of oil.
R Motor operation in wrong direction.
R Hydraulic system defective.
R Support arms below locking height
R Inadequate lubrication.
R Ring gears worn.
R Locking pawls not released.
R Hydraulic system defective.
R Wrong hydraulic fluid with poor lubrica-
tion action.
R Inadequate lubrication of lifting carriage
guide surfaces.
R Synchronizing cables incorrectly set.
R Limit switch defective.

Remedy
R Check the master switch and set to "I" if ap-
plicable.
R Check the power supply.
R Check whether the vehicle has raised the
switch rod.
R Reset the circuit breaker QF1 in the electrics
box.
R Check and if necessary replace the control fu-
se FU1 in the electrics box.
R Check whether the permissible lifting plat-
form loadbearing capacity has been exceeded.
R Lower the lifting carriage.
R Check the oil level.
R Interchange two phases.
R Call in customer service.
R Raise lifting platform to approx. 70 cm and
check locking.
R Grease locking pin and ring gear.
R Call in customer service.
R Raise lifting platform slightly to relieve the
load on the locking pawls. Then lower.
R Check the locking pawls.
R Call in customer service.
R Check the type of fluid. Use hydraulic fluid as
per ISO 32 specification.
