At the same time green diodes (26) of the battery level indication
are flashing in different configurations, see description below.
• All diodes are flashing - battery is empty and requires
charging.
• 2 diodes are flashing - the battery is partially discharged.
• 1 diode is flashing - the battery level is high.
Once the battery is charged, the diode (24) on the charger lights
green, and all battery level diodes (26) light continuously. After
some time (approx. 15 s) battery level indication diodes (26) turn
off.
Do not charge the battery for more than 8 hours. Exceeding
this time limit may cause damage to battery cells. The charger
will not turn off automatically when the battery is full. Green
diode on the charger will remain on. Battery level indication
diodes turn off after some time. Disconnect power supply
before removing the battery from the charger socket. Avoid
consecutive short chargings. Do not charge the battery after
short use of the tool. Significant decrease of the period
between chargings indicates the battery is used up and should
be replaced.
Batteries heat up strongly when charging. Do not operate just
after charging – wait for the battery to cool down to room
temperature. It will prevent battery damage.
BATTERY LEVEL INDICATION
The battery is equipped with indication of the battery level (3
LED diodes) (26). To check battery level status, press the switch
button (25) (fig. C). When all diodes are lit, the battery level is
high. When 2 diodes are on, the battery is partially discharged.
When only one diode is lit, the battery is discharged and must
be recharged.
CUTTING DEPTH ADJUSTMENT
Right angle cutting depth can be set from the range of 0 to 46 mm.
• Loosen the cutting depth locking knob (27).
• Set desired cutting depth (use the scale).
• Lock the cutting depth locking knob (27) (fig. D).
INSTALLATION OF THE EDGE GUIDE
Edge guide can be installed on left or right side of the device
footplate.
• Loosen the edge guide locking screw (20).
• Slide the edge guide bar into holes in the footplate (16), use the
scale to set required distance and fix by tightening the edge guide
locking screws (20) (fig. E).
Edge guide bar should be pointed downwards.
The edge guide (28) can also be used for bevel cutting at angles
ranging from 0° to 45°.
Never put hand or fingers behind the working saw. When kick
back happens the saw can fall on the hand, it may be the cause
of heavy body injury.
MOVING THE LOWER GUARD
Lower guard (11) of the cutting blade (8) is pushed away
automatically as the blade sinks into the material. To remove it
manually push the lower guard lever (5).
DUST EXTRACTION
Circular saw is equipped with dust extraction outlet (1) that allows
for extraction of sawdust produced when cutting.
OPERATION / SETTINGS
SWITCHING ON / SWITCHING OFF
Hold the saw with both hands when starting up, because engine
torque may cause uncontrolled turn of the power tool.
Remember that rotating parts of the saw rotate for some time
after the tool has been switched off.
The device is equipped with the switch, which protects from
accidental starting. The safety switch is located on both sides of the
tool body.
Switching on
• Press one of the switch lock buttons (3) and hold (fig. F).
• Press the switch button (2) (fig. G).
• You can release the switch lock button (3) after starting the device.
Switching off
• Release pressure on the switch button (4) to stop the tool.
Each time the switch button (4) is pressed, the LED diode (7)
lights up to illuminate the workplace.
CUTTING
Cutting line is defined by the cutting line indicator (18) for 45° angle
or (19) for 0° angle (fig. H).
• When starting operation always hold the saw firmly with both
hands by two handles.
• Switch on the circular saw only when it is away from the material
that is to be cut.
• Do not press the saw too hard. Pressure should be moderate and
continuous.
• After the cut is finished allow the cutting blade to stop completely.
• If the cutting is aborted before the task is completed, prior to
continuation start the saw and allow for idle operation. Wait until
the tool achieves its full rotational speed and then carefully drive
the cutting blade into the kerf in the processed material.
• When cutting perpendicular to fibres of material (wood), fibres
tend to lift up and tear off (moving the saw slowly minimizes this
effect).
• Ensure the lower guard reaches its extreme position.
• Before starting to cut always make sure that cutting depth locking
knob and knobs for base bevel adjustment are tightened firmly.
• With the circular saw use only cutting blades with correct arbour
hole and outer diameter.
• Processed material must be firmly fixed.
• Place wider part of the saw base on the part of the material, which
is not cut off.
If the object is small, fix the processed material with F-clamps.
If the circular saw footplate does not move on the processed
material, but is lifted instead, there is danger of kick back.
Properly fixed processed material and firm hold of the tool ensure
full control over power tool operation. This allows to avoid risk of
body injury. Do not try to hold short pieces of material with your
hand.
FOOTPLATE ADJUSTMENT FOR BEVEL CUTTING
Adjustable saw footplate allows to make a bevel cut in the range
from 0° to 45°.
• Loosen the knob for base bevel adjustment (17) (fig. I).
• Use the scale to set the saw base (16) to appropriate angle
(from 0
0
to 45
0)
.
• Tighten the knob for base bevel adjustment (17).
Remember that for bevel cutting the risk of kick back is
greater (pinching of cutting blade more probable), therefore
it is particularly important that the saw footplate rests on the
processed material with its whole surface. Perform cutting with
smooth move.
MAKING A CUT BY PLUNGING INTO MATERIAL
• Set desired cutting depth that matches thickness of material
planned to be cut.
• Tilt the saw so the front edge of the saw footplate (16) rests on
the cut material and 0° marker for perpendicular cutting is in
the line of planned cutting.
