• When the saw is in the place to start cutting, lift the lower
guard (11) with the lower guard lever (5) (cutting blade is
lifted above the material).
• Switch the power tool on and wait until cutting blade reaches
its full rotational speed.
• Gradually lower the saw and plunge the cutting blade in
material (during this move front edge of the saw footplate
should have contact with surface of the material).
• When the blade starts cutting release the lower guard.
• When whole surface of the saw footplate rests on the material,
move the saw forward to proceed with cutting.
• Never move the saw backwards when the blade is rotating,
there is danger of kick back.
• Finish cutting in reverse order it was started, by turning the
saw around line of contact of the processed material and the
front edge of the tool footplate.
• Before removing blade from the material, allow it to stop after
switching the saw off.
• Finish the corner fillets with reciprocating saw or hand saw
when necessary.
CUTTING OR CUTTING OFF LARGE PIECES OF MATERIAL
When cutting large boards of material support them to avoid
potential blade hitch (kick back) due to pinching the blade in
material kerf.
OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE
Remove the battery from the device before commencing
any activities related to installation, adjustment, repair or
maintenance.
MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE
• Cleaning the device after each use is recommended.
• Do not use water or any other liquid for cleaning.
• Clean the tool with a brush or blow through with compressed air
at low pressure.
• Do not use any cleaning agents or solvents, they may damage
plastic parts.
• Clean ventilation holes in the motor casing regularly to prevent
device overheating. Do not clean ventilation holes by inserting
sharp objects there, such as screwdrivers and other similar objects.
• In case of excessive commutator sparking, have the technical
condition of carbon brushes of the motor checked by a qualified
person.
• During normal operation cutting blade gets blunt after some
time. When it happens it is necessary to apply greater pressure
when moving the saw during cutting.
• When cutting blade is found damaged, replace it immediately.
• Cutting blade must always be sharp.
• Always store the tool in a dry place, beyond reach of children.
• Store the device with the battery removed.
CUTTING BLADE REPLACEMENT
• Use supplied hexagonal key to unscrew the fixing bolt for cutting
blade (10) by turning it counter-clockwise.
• To prevent rotation of saw spindle, lock the spindle with spindle
lock button (15) when unscrewing the bolt that fixes the cutting
blade (fig. K).
• Disassemble outer flange washer (9).
• Use lower guard lever (5) to move lower guard (11) so it hides
maximally in the upper guard (2) (check condition and operation
of the spring that pulls the lower guard at that time).
• Slide the cutting blade (8) out through the slit in the saw footplate
(16).
• Position new cutting blade so blade teeth and arrow on the blade
match direction of the arrow on the lower guard and upper guard.
• Slide the cutting blade into footplate slot and install on the
spindle so it is well pressed against surface of the inner flange and
centred when seated on its neck.
• Install inner flange washer (9) and tighten the fixing bolt for
cutting blade (10) by turning it clockwise.
• Always put the hexagonal key in its storage place after
replacement of cutting blade.
When installing cutting blade observe correct direction of the
teeth. Arrow on the saw body shows direction of spindle rotation.
Be very careful when holding the cutting blade in hand. Use
protective gloves to provide protection for your hands against
sharp teeth of cutting blade.
All defects should be repaired by service workshop authorized
by the manufacturer.
