■ If the material pressure tank is damaged, stop working with it immedi-
ately, disconnect it from the compressed air supply system and vent the
unit completely.
■ Never make any unauthorised modifications or technical changes to the
material pressure tank.
■ Every time before using the material pressure tank, check the unit with
all connected components for any signs of damaged and ensure it is
fitted firmly; carry out any necessary repairs.
■ Check the clamps and toggle screws regularly for wear and signs of
damage; replace if necessary. Tighten the clamps and toggle screws by
hand.
Materials
■ Only coating materials in fluid group 2 may be processed in
SATA paint set 10, SATA FDG 24 and SATA FDG 48.
■ Processing acidic or alkaline materials is prohibited.
■ Processing solvents with halogenated hydrocarbons, petrol, kero-
sene, herbicides, pesticides and radioactive substances is prohibited.
Halogenated solvents can result in explosive and corrosive chemical
compounds.
■ Material pressure tanks are made of a highly resistant stainless steel
alloy. Even so, SATA must always be consulted before using highly
corrosive or abrasive materials.
■ Only bring the media needed to continue working into the working envi-
ronment of the material pressure tank.
Operating parameters
■ Only operate the material pressure tank within the parameters stated on
the nameplate.
Connected components
■ The connected components must reliably withstand the thermal, chem-
ical and mechanical loads expected when using the material pressure
tank.
■ When pressurised hoses work loose, their whip-like movements and
any material that is squirted out can cause injuries. Always vent the
hoses completely before they are loosened.
General
■ Never transport material pressure tank when pressurised.
■ Comply with the local regulations for safety, accident prevention, occu-
