User Instructions

Battery charging

We recommend the use of a stabilised 12 V charger with
a max. charging current of 4 A (order no. 6.654-083).
!
Caution
Please observe the safety information provided by the
battery manufacturer.
The terms of the warranty apply only if you use batteries
and chargers that have been recommended by
KÄRCHER.

Explosion hazard!
The fumes given off by the battery during the charging
process are highly explosive.
During the charging process
– Do not smoke,
– Avoid naked flames and sparks,
– Do not disconnect the battery (sparking),
– Ensure there is adequate ventilation.

Danger of chemical burns!
Battery acid is caustic. Avoid contact with eyes and skin.
When handling batteries, wear protective goggles and
gloves. If contact is made nevertheless, rinse the
affected areas with plenty of fresh water. Visit a doctor if
necessary.

Danger due to electric current!
Never use battery chargers when it is raining, in very
humid locations, or in damp rooms.
Before commencing the charging process, check whether
the charger corresponds to the
– nominal battery voltage,
– mains supply voltage.
Engage parking brake.
Switch off engine
– Turn ignition key anticlockwise, and then remove it.
Tilt seat forwards.
Lift off cover from battery compartment.
Charge battery. Ensure poles are connected
correctly!
Caution
Do not leave battery on charge for longer than 24 hours,
otherwise it could be damaged.
