Replacing the sealing skirts

User Instructions
Remove rotary knobs and cover.
Remove cleaner insert.
Separate paper and plastic inserts.
Clean paper insert,
– tap insert firmly to remove dirt, or blow it through
with compressed air from the inside.
Clean plastic insert,
– wash plastic insert in a soapy solution (e.g. water
with a little washing-up liquid), and rinse in clean
water.
– Allow insert to dry, and then spray lightly with
engine oil.
– Squeeze out any excess oil.
Refit cleaned or renewed components, and fasten
cover.
Important:
The sealing skirts fulfil an important function. They
retain the partial vacuum in the area round the
brushes which is essential so that the sweeper can
function properly. They ensure that sweeping can
take place without clouds of dust being formed at the
same time. If the sealing skirts are damaged or worn
out, they must be replaced immediately.
Park sweeper, and switch off engine.
Remove Phillips screws (Torx 25) and detach sealing
skirts.
Fit new skirts, and align as follows:
Side skirts should be adjusted so that they clear
ground by 1 – 2 mm.
Adjust front and rear skirts so that they trail
backwards by 10 – 15 mm when sweeper is moving.
Re-tighten Phillips screws (Torx 25).
Park sweeper, and switch off engine.
Raise outrigger broom.
Remove three hex-socket bolts (SW 5).
Remove outrigger broom.
Place new outrigger broom onto drive pin.
Refit and tighten three hex-socket bolts (SW 5).
